Why Do You Want A Music Video?
Is probably one of the first questions that I will ask on a discovery call. Videos and branding can mean different things to different people, so I like to get us on the same page as early as possible.
I want to help you not only bring your vision to life, but also help you hit the goals that you are aiming to hit by doing these things.
Most people think that it's essential for a release, but that's just not the case. You don't need a professional music video to upload to Spotify, you don't need a music video to create TikToks. Although, it does have some substantial benefits that help you do multiple things:
- Create professional marketing material
- Help you develop your image and style as a band.
- World-building that creates a more engaged and loyal fanbase.
- A visual piece of art that reflects the Musical art that you want to promote.
- besudes, you get to look cool AS FUCK
How Much Does A Music Video Cost?
Every music video comes with different costs associated and largely depends on the video that you are after, who/ how many people we get to work on it as well as where it will be shot. We'll go over a lot of this in our discovery/treatment process.
There are a few standardised prices that I have to get you an idea of what costs what:
Performance Music Video - $2,500
- Basic performance video
- one location
- 2-3 setups
- 2-3 Page Treatment
- One Shooter
- Basic Lighting Package
Narrative Music Video - $4,500
This one is for the nerds (My Favourite). Build a story, build a world, throw your audience deep into what you're about and the messages you want to push. This is for you if you want to create an immersive experience for your listeners that also builds the world around your band. This is great for pushing the messaging about who you are and what your band is about.
- 50% Performance + 50% Narrative Music Video
- 1-2 locations
- 2-3 setups per location
- 5+ Page Treatment
- Two Shooters / BTS Photographer
- Advanced Lighting Package
Release Branding Package - $7,000
Full image rebrand. Want to look cool across all of your stuff? This is the one for you.
This gives you a clear direction on what your band/brand looks like across most of the visuals. Full cohesiveness across the board from music videos, short-form content, Promotional material and press shots.

What's The Process?
After you press the button below, it will send you to a booking link where we will be able to lock in a time to have a chat about your video. I'll ask you a bunch of questions that will give both of us a clearer idea of what your goals are:
- why you want to do it
- what you might be envisioning
- What are the goals
On this call, we will decide what will work best for you and get moving forward. We'll also chat about possible locations and what will work best for your network and your budget. After the call, you will pay a 25% or 50% deposit. Once we've got that deposit, we will be able to lock in the shoot date(s). I will then proceed to work on the treatment. This is basically a document that will visually describe the entire video. Everything from textures, to colours, to shot angles and narrative, if you decide to go down that path.
After you approve this Treatment document, we will get started on the actual logistics side of the preproduction. this will include:
- Full Shot Lists and references
- Schedules
- Booking Venues
- Co-Ordinating Logistics
- Call Sheets and Band Checklists
Once all of this is done and approved, we are essentially good to go ahead with the shoot day. Where possible, I want to have a production call with the key members/band to go over everything and make sure that we have everything sorted and if there's anything we need to fix last-minute.
When it comes to the actual shoot day, we're mostly just following the plan. There's always a bit of creative problem solving on the day, but that's just apart of the charm. Ideally we have members from the band helping out move lights and setting up the dress but additional hands on set are always welcome.
A few days after shooting, I'll send you some screen grabs (with some very rough colourgrades) of the shots that we got. This is more of a preview of what we captured rather then a review point. and meanwhile I will get to editing. usually I like to keep this pretty under wraps to get you as excited as possible to see it, but if you think you know what you're talking about you're more then welcome to arrange a sit-in edit session.
After I've sent you the first draft you tell me that you love it and everything is perfect. haha kidding. You get as many rounds of revisions as you want until you're happy with it. There'll be a time code baked into all the drafts so each frame of the video is easily referenacable to get your point across.
After we've decided there's no more revisions, you pay your final 25% or 50% and I render out a finished video for you, ready to upload to all socials, YouTube, etc.
ONE OF THE ADVANTAGES IS CONFIDENCE THAT I CAN MAKE A GOOD VIDEO
